Materials :

• Glue gun
• Little flower pots
• Twine
• Raffia
• Paint
• Gunny

Directions :

• First, insert the twine through the bottoms of the pots and knot it up.
• Stick the raffia on the insides of each pot with hot glue leaving the bottom one.
• Cut a piece of gunny and drape it around the main pot.
• Paint the face for its features.
• Stick the raffia sticking out between two pots.

Materials :

• Card stock papers of various colors
• Markers
• Scissors
• Glue

Directions :

• Draw and cut out a circle for the face with nose, eyes, and a hat from the card stock papers.
• Use one red marker to draw the scarecrow’s body.
• Ask your child to tear up pieces of red and yellow paper. Cut some longer stripes as those would resemble the straw for the hair.
• Use glue and stick the torn paper pieces on the body. Also, stick the red-colored nose and eyes.
• Now, draw the scarecrow’s happy smile with the markers.

Toilet Paper Tube Scarecrow : Montessori art and craft teachers suggest parents doing this easy and fantastic scarecrow craft with their kids. And for this, you do not have to buy any fancy materials.

Materials :

• Construction paper
• Muffin cup
• Glue
• Masking tape
• Markers
• Scissors
• Popsicle stick
• Toilet paper roll

Directions :

• Cut two slits down the toilet paper roll. The slits should be opposite to each other and about 2/3 down the roll.
• Slide the popsicle sticks through the slits.
• Wrap 1/3 of the roll with masking tape.
• Cut a strip of yellow construction paper about 5” / 11.5” big. Cut edges at either end for the hair.
• Now fold it to fit the roll and stick it with glue.
• Stick the muffin cup hat on top and draw the face of the scarecrow. You can cut small square patches and glue them up around the body.
